If You Like Baklava, You’ll Love This Fragrant Persian Cake

But this Persian baklava–inspired cake—a confection that’s well known throughout the Persian diaspora—is a great way to enjoy the best qualities of baklava, within a simpler-to-prepare cake. Chocolote roll


Ingredients:


1/2 cup bread flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 cup chocolate powder

4 eggs

2 tablespoons oil

2/3 cups sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 oil papers

75 grams icing sugar

50 grams butter

1 tablespoon chocolate powder

2 teaspoons milk


Method of preparation:-


Sieve the bread flour, chocolate powder, and baking powder twice. Beat the eggs. Add 2 tablespoons oil to this.


Add sugar little by little and beat. Finally, add the sifted bread flour. Add vanilla. Stir with a spoon. Set aside.


Now take a 12 × 16 inch cake tray. Line it with oil paper and grease it. Add the prepared cake mixture.


Bake in the oven at 180° for 10-15 minutes.


How to make the icing:-


75 grams of icing sugar

50 grams of butter

1 tablespoon of chocolate powder

2 teaspoons of milk


How to make:-


Add icing sugar and chocolate powder to the butter and beat.


Add milk as required. Spread on the baked chocolate roll. Now roll.


Use the oil paper to help. Place the chocolate roll rolled with oil paper in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to set.
